Seven Questions to Ask Any Business Funding Partner

The funding industry has excellent operators and bad actors working the same phone lines. These questions separate them quickly.
The questions
Ask all seven, and ask for the answers in writing.
- What is the total dollar amount I will pay back?
- What is the term, and what is the payment frequency?
- What fees are deducted at funding?
- Is there a discount for paying off early?
- Will you file a UCC, and on what?
- Is a personal guarantee required?
- Who will I speak to after funding?
Watch for pressure
Offers that expire in an hour exist to stop you from comparing. A legitimate offer will still be there tomorrow.
If a representative cannot explain the total payback in plain numbers, that is your answer.
